What is Obesity:

A disorder involving excessive body fat that increases the risk of health problems.
Obesity often results from taking in more calories than are burned by exercise and normal daily activities.
Obesity occurs when a person’s body mass index is 25 or greater. The excessive body fat increases the risk of serious health problems.
The mainstay of treatment is lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise.

Physical Exercise:

Physical activity increases people’s total energy expenditure, which can help them stay in energy balance or even lose weight, as long as they don’t eat more to compensate for the extra calories they burn. Physical activity decreases fat around the waist and total body fat, slowing the development of abdominal obesity.
